A Memorable Trip

Yup, this is indeed a memorable trip for me. It is a trip with my most treasure friends in my life, the She Fu (a community service society) gang. It is a club in my university and this trip is organize as a graduation trip for those who are going to graduate soon. This time, we went to Kuala Sepetang and Taiping. Kuala Sepetang is famous with it’s cheap seafood as it is actually dominated by a fisherman village.

We departed from Penang Island on 17 May and we reached Taiping. Once we reach Taiping, we went to a hawker center and have our dinner. After that we went to watch a movie named “Star Trek” and then we spent our night at Sherlyn’s house.IMG_0758

The second day, early in the morning, we went to have our breakfast at Pokok Asam. It is famous with it’s curry noodle and it’s laksa which is mixed together with the curry. During the breakfast, I take the opportunities to shoot everyone face. This is Li Yen, the leader of She Fu.IMG_0760 And this is Ah Yoke, the laughter as always.IMG_0763 This is Ze Chen, a friend from China.IMG_0766This is Joo Soon, a kinda shy guy. IMG_0768This is Pei San, a very special girl to me.  Seeing her smile made me happy, and when she is sad, I am sad too. Indeed, she is the girl that made my day and I like her very much! 😀IMG_0769This is Jie Hui, the previous leader of She Fu. She is just like a mother to all. IMG_0771This is Sherlyn, which we stayed at her house for the night. IMG_0773This is Jer Xian, which come join us from afar. IMG_0776This is Hua Wei, a rotten senior like me. IMG_0779And this is Hua Wei’s girlfriend, Chee Yuen.IMG_0780This is Pei Yin, a very good friend to Jer Xian and coming from afar too. IMG_0781 IMG_0785

After having done with our breakfast, we went to buy the bus tickets for Pei Yin and Jer Xian for them to go back to Seremban. We are lucky enough that we met with an event organize by the 988 (a radio channel). And of course, we wont miss the chance to have a photographing session with the prosperity god.IMG_0790Here we go, with the prizes we won from the 988’s event. IMG_0792 IMG_0794 IMG_0795

Done with the ticket stuff, we were on our way to Kuala Sepetang. About half an hour of the driving, we reached Kuala Sepetang. From now on, Heh Pyng will be our tour guide which she is a junior and lived in Kuala Sepetang. We will be staying at her house for the night coming soon. The first things she introduce to us is the process of selecting the clam by using the machine.IMG_0801 And then, we went to Heh Pyng house to settle down with our things. To reach her house, we have to board on a boat to cross the river.IMG_0804 IMG_0815 IMG_0817 This is the backyard of Heh Pyng house which is above the river.IMG_0821 IMG_0826

After settling down with everything, the first stop we went is the mangroves forest. We went there by boarding a boat which is drove by Heh Pyng’s brother.IMG_0830 IMG_0832 IMG_0837IMG_0841 IMG_0845 IMG_0854Poor me, I am the only one not in the photo. 😦 IMG_0858 IMG_0863 IMG_0864 IMG_0868

Leaving the mangroves forest, we went to see how the charcoal is made. It is not far from the mangroves forest so we walked there, but it is very hot at that time.IMG_0874 Saw the big semi-sphere like thing at the back? It is use to burn the woods until they become charcoal. It is said that it takes months of time to complete a burning.IMG_0880

After visiting the charcoal factory, we went to have our lunch. And in the afternoon, we went to the fish farm owned by Heh Pyng’s father. On the way, we were having some fun with our shadow.IMG_0883 IMG_0885 IMG_0907

Here we are, the fish farm in the middle of the sea. I was really amazed. I mean, wow, I was really standing in the middle of the sea! The fish farm was supported by many barrels at the bottom and the walking path is just some very narrow wood. For the first timer like me, I do really feel dizzy walking on it.IMG_0917 IMG_0927 IMG_0934 IMG_0938 IMG_0940 IMG_0968 IMG_0969 IMG_0985 The view at there is just so outstanding.IMG_0990 IMG_0991 IMG_1004 IMG_1012 This is Heh Pyng’s father. Thank you very much!IMG_1013

After that, we went to the fish farm which is nearer to the river.IMG_1017 At there, we do some fishing activity and guess what, the fishes were hooked up easier than I thought.IMG_1031 IMG_1037 IMG_1050 IMG_1056 IMG_1060 IMG_1068

After that, we went back to Heh Pyng’s house for some little rest and then we were on our ways to see the firefly. This is the first time in my life ever to see a firefly and you have no idea how excited I was. Too bad that I didn’t take any photos of the firefly. After that, we went back to Heh Pyng’s to have our dinner. Heh Pyng’s mother has prepared a lot of seafood for us, which is fresh and delicious. Another too bad is that I cant eat seafood as I am allergic to it.IMG_1080 IMG_1081 IMG_1083

After dinner, we were enjoying having fun with our-self.IMG_1090 IMG_1092 IMG_1099 IMG_1103 IMG_1105

Surprise, an early birthday celebration for a girl and a boy.IMG_1107 IMG_1109 IMG_1111 IMG_1114 The birthday boy is Ze Chen and the birthday girl is Pei Yin.IMG_1115 IMG_1117 IMG_1120 IMG_1121 Aren’t they sweet?IMG_1125 IMG_1129

The beautiful sunrise shot by Ah Yoke.IMG_1133 IMG_1166 Soon, it is time to leave Kuala Sepetang and head to Taiping again. Thank you very much to Heh Pyng’s family for taking care of us.IMG_1172

The first stop in Taiping is the Burmese Pool, which is a waterfall in Taiping.IMG_1183 IMG_1193 IMG_1197 IMG_1201 IMG_1209 IMG_1220 IMG_1221 IMG_1225 IMG_1229 IMG_1238 IMG_1248 IMG_1251 IMG_1255 IMG_1264 IMG_1269 IMG_1270 IMG_1272 IMG_1275 IMG_1276 IMG_1277

After enjoying at the waterfall, we went to have our lunch. After that, we were going to ambush Sherlyn for an early birthday celebration too. Due to time constrain, we were unable to buy a cake. Really sorry for that.IMG_1281 IMG_1287 IMG_1290

And then, we went to the Taiping Lake for some photographing session.IMG_1293 IMG_1300 Well, can you see the words we were trying to form?IMG_1309

Unfortunately, it was raining on that day, so we were unable to shoot much photos at the Taiping Lake. For the last stop, we went to Pei San’s hometown, Serdang to taste the fry porridge.IMG_1311 And lastly, we pay a little visit to Pei San’s house. Well, frankly, I was a bit nervous..haha..IMG_1318 IMG_1319

And with that, it is the end of the 3 days 2 night wonderful trip. This is a trip that I will never forget in my life. I am so glad that I joined the trip and if I didn’t, I will be sure to regret for the rest of my life. Lastly, I wish to say that, She Fu, it is really nice to have you all by my side. I am not someone who like to travel, but traveling with you all, it is just that different. You are the treasure in my life and I will treasure it well. Thank you for letting me met you! 😀
